SHELBYVILLE - Richard Schneblin, 89, of Shelbyville, died at approximately 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Chapel of Peace Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Burial will be at Peace Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbyville and at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the cemetery in Peoria.
Mr. Schneblin was born Jan. 6, 1913, in Peoria, Ill., to August and Kate Brutscher Schneblin.
He was married to Bertha Marie Schmidt on Jan. 5, 1935, in Peoria. She preceded him in death June 28, 2000.
Survivors include four children, Marilyn Walters of Mapleton, Ill., Merlin (Bud) Schneblin of Grass Valley, Calif., Marsha Vogel of Roanoke, Ill., and Richard Schnelbin of Bethel; five grandchildren, John R. Walters of Morton, Ill., Karen Strantz of Canton, Ill., Melinda Hunnings of Parker, Colo., Curt Vogel of Belleville, Mich., and Carlene Vogel of Roanoke, Ill.; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Schneblin.
Mr. Schneblin was a member of the Church of God and attended Bethel Christian Church. He and his wife moved from Mapleton, Ill, to Shelbyville in 1966.

PEORIA, Ill. Bertha Schneblin, 88, of Shelbyville, died at 4:45 p.m. June 28, 2000, at Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Chapel of Peace in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, Ill. Al Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbyville, and from 1:30 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the chapel in Peoria.
Mrs. Schneblin was born June 13, 1912, in Peoria County, Ill., to Robert and Margaret Meyers Schmidt.
She was married to Richard August Schneblin on Jan. 5, 1935, in Peoria. He survives.
Other survivors include four children, Marilyn Walters of Mapleton, Ill., Merlin Schneblin of Grass Valley, Calif., Marsha Vogel of Roanoke, Ill., and Richard Schneblin of Bethel; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
