He migrated at the age of 39 from Mulhouse to New York in October 1869 with his wife (Christine Ketterlin who was 36 years at the time of migration) and 4 children (all apparently boys) (Emile age 7, Paul age 5, Joseph age 4, and Louis age 1) . Prior to leaving Alsace he had worked as a servant (domestique). Note that Christine Ketterle (I424 in our data base) was originally named Christine Ketterlin and her birth date of 1833 is confirmed). Note: Referenced by Eve Crowley. |
