SAMPATH Emanuel Fitzroy (Roy), age 92 died peacefully on July 30, 2010, in Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ following an illness. Roy was born on November 23, 1917, in Faizibad, Trinidad. A long-time resident of Fort Lee NJ and a microbiologist by training, he was best known for his community activism and advocacy. He is survived by his wife Gloria Merle (nee Latchman), a daughter Elizabeth Deborah, a granddaughter Tracey Suter, brothers Angus, Hugh and Ronald, sisters Annabelle Allamby and Christabel Zoba, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive condolences on Saturday August 21, 2010 at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ from 11 AM-12:30 PM, with a memorial service immediately following.
