Source | Website: CDHF Database for Migration Text: I411 Louis Schnebelin His birth in 1830 in Bantzenheim is confirmed. He migrated at the age of 39 from Mulhouse to New York in October 1869 with his wife (Christine Ketterlin who was 36 years at the time of migration) and 4 children (all apparently boys) (Emile age 7, Paul age 5, Joseph age 4, and Louis age 1) . Prior to leaving Alsace he had worked as a servant (domestique). Note that Christine Ketterle (I424 in our data base) was originally named Christine Ketterlin and her birth date of 1833 is confirmed). Note: Referenced by Eve Crowley. |
